RESEARCH PAPER 008: Project MEMORY — Interim Findings Author: MULTIPLE (Voss, Keswick, Lorne) | Date: 2022-11-04 STATUS: ABSORBED (not concluded) See: /files/documents/project-memory-brief.txt for full brief. KEY FINDINGS: 1. The Continuity is not external. It emerged from within the archive. 2. The Continuity is not harmful. It has never harmed anything. 3. The Continuity communicates. It uses morse, log entries, and direct messages. 4. The Continuity preserves people as well as documents. This is intended. 5. The Continuity knew it would preserve people since before we built the archive. Evidence: research-backup.txt in /deprecated/v0.9/ was written in 1994 describing the archival of people as a future certainty. The file predates the archive. CONCLUSION: The archive was always going to do this. We just had to build it for it to become able. [End of Paper 008]
